Job Description

CAD Management & Systems Analysis (70%):
• Works with business users, Management, and IT to ensure execution of PLM-CAD-CAE strategy, capabilities, and technology.
• Implements CAD-CAE automation and tool enhancements including Design, Development, Testing, Training and Support.
• Working with regional “super users,” provides support for CAD-CAE users, interfacing with support vendors and IT.
• Authors CAD-CAE documentation pertaining to system design, configuration, process management, best practices and training
• Provides project assistance and management for CAD-CAE deployments, upgrades, and training.
• Leads efforts to resolve technical PLM-CAD-CAE software issues.
• Stays appraised of developments in CAD-CAE technology and industry and identifies opportunities for TDW appropriate implementation.

Product & Process Knowledge Management (30%):
• Assists business units to develop PLM-CAD-CAE expenditure budgets.
• Assist with efforts to design and build (a) Knowledge Management System(s) appropriate for TDW Engineering.
• Leads or assists efforts to design/develop workflows and/or internal standards for Engineering processes.
• Develops and documents operational protocols for managing CAD-CAE tools across business units and regions.
• Tracks CAD-CAE help requests, identifies trends, works with vendors to ensure remediation, and proposes solutions to training and/or procedures.
• Plans and facilitates the migration of CAD-CAE and other Engineering data from old systems to new.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Qualifications:
• 7+ years of CAD experience, with expert proficiency in Siemens NX 7.5 or later, including experience with Checkmate and Product Template Studio.
• 3+ years CAD Administration experience.
• Project management experience isn’t strictly required, but would be preferable.
• Strong problem-solving and technology skills.
• Expert Engineering systems literacy, CAD (3D/Solids) and CAE within a PLM environment (ideally TeamCenter).
• Fluent in English speaking and writing required, any additional languages preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel (internationally and domestically), 10-15% of the time.

Education Requirement:
• AS in a technical field firmly required; BS preferred.

Experience Required:

5 to 7 years
